Today this place is the largest and most diverse exhibition complex, a great mix of traditional and modern museum technologies. Here you will discover unique ceremonial artifacts from Balhae Kingdom and Chjurchjyeni Golden Empire, everyday objects from the days when the Far East was just being explored and populated. One of the museum highlights is the book exhibition "Eleonor Pray. Letters from Vladivostok.", based on letters and photos that reflect a whole epoch. Once you've got acquainted with the history of the region in the museum, you are welcome to merge into Vladivostok streets.
The Primorye State Art Gallery in Vladivostok was founded in 1966 and nowadays possess a collection of more then 5000 exhibits: paintings, diagrams, sculptures and what not. The Golden fund of the gallery represents artworks of the Russian outstanding artists from the 18th to the 20th century: Rokotov, Brullov, Aivazovskiy, Levitan, Serov, Kandinskiy, Shagal and others. The gallery also displays icons (orthodox religious images) of thr 18th-20th centuries. In West-European section you will discover the works of Italian, Spanish, Dutch and French masters of the 14th-19th centuries. The gallery also has a wide collection of paintings and diagrams of the modern artists of Russia and Primorye territory. Some of the exhibits have been displayed in Japan, Korea, Australia, Germany, Italia, Finland, USA, Israel, Switzerland.
